The Place for Your Hearthstone Needs!
A 3/3 minion with 3 cost, it looks like an average card. Its ability, though, allows for endless possibilities!
Void Terror seems to be a more powerful Voidwalker, a shadowy demon from the Twisting Nether.
Do not think lightly of this card’s ability. While you are sacrificing your own minions, it transfers the stats over to the Void Terror, basically making it become a super-minion with stats the sum of the sacrifices and its own. The major benefit of doing so is to reduce the impact of ‘sweep’ spells; spells that deal damage to multiple minions such as Arcane Explosion or Consecration.
To highlight the ability, minion buff cards such as Power Overwhelming can be used in conjunction with the Void Terror to achieve, perhaps what even the Gurubashi Berserker could not! Apply Power Overwhelming on the minion that is to be sacrificed before summoning the Void Terror next to it. Voila; a Void Terror with a stats spike. Isn’t that amazing?
There are naturally setbacks to this of course. Firstly, if the opponent is holding onto a single-target disable card, such as Shadow Word: Death, he would be more than happy to use it on your Void-zilla! Whats worse; if it was a Mind Control card? YOURBASEAREBELONGTOUS!
Since it generally reduces the number of allied minions on the board, it synergies poorly with cards that build on minion count such as the Frostwolf Warlord. It works well, though, with cards that buff minions, like Power Overwhelming.
