Rules

  • General
    • Class Lock (Players are to use the four classes, that they have declared during registration, for the entire tournament).
    • Taking of screenshots is advised for the settlement of disputes; players are recommended to use the time stamp at the bottom-left corner of the game screen.
    • No backseat gaming is allowed in the tournament.
    • Players are to cross out the option to allow their friends to spectate their games.
    • Players found infringing the rules will be given an initial warning. Subsequent infringements may result in disqualification from the tournament.
    • The Chief Marshal will have the final decision in all matters.
    • Registration will close at 11.59pm (23:59) on the 24th of December, 2015.
  • Gameplay
    • Players are not allowed to leave the Duelling Screen until they have finished that particular series. In the event of a disconnection or a bug, do call a marshal to arbitrate.
    • Players that go into ‘My Collection’ prior to the start of the series (but after the banning phase) will be given a match loss.
    • A match must start within ten minutes once both players are ready; the offending player will be given a match loss.
    • A player will be given a match win if his opponent is late by five minutes, and a round win if his opponent is late by 20 minutes.
    • Players can only have one deck for every selected class during the tournament. Players may request a screenshot of the Duelling Screen; if their opponent was found to have multiple decks for any selected class, they will be given a match loss. Failure to produce a screenshot will also result in a match loss.
    • If players begin a match with a class that they are not allowed to use, they will lose that match.
  • Tie
    • The match will be replayed with the same classes.
  • Sportsmanship
    • Any racist or insulting comments will result in a match loss.
  • Disconnection
    • A match win will be awarded to the opponent of the disconnected player; we encourage sportsmanship.

Group Stage

  • 16/32 groups of four players
  • Top two players from each group will advance to the playoffs
  • Tie-breakers will be decided in the following order:
    • Head-to-head record
    • Win-loss differential (Number of match wins minus losses)
    • Total number of match wins
  • In the event that the players are still tied, they shall then play a final Bo5 series.

Playoffs

  • Top 16/32 players
  • Single Elimination

Series Rules

  • Best-of-5 (first to three wins).
  • Players are expected to verify for themselves that their opponent is playing one of their selected classes. In the event that your opponent is not playing any of their selected classes, do call a marshal to arbitrate.
  • The winning player will use a different class – once a class has won, it is no longer playable for the rest of the series. The losing player can continue to use any class that has not yet won in the series.
  • After each series, inform the group marshal (with your opponent) of the results.
